Mauna Kea Magic
This pic is Mauna Kea, a mountain on the Big Island that wears snow like a crown! Pretty cool, right?
Mauna Kea stands approximately 10,205 meters (33,481 feet) tall, surpassing Everest’s 8,849 meters (29,032 feet). More than half of Mauna Kea is submerged in the Pacific Ocean, with about 6,000 meters underwater and 4,205 meters above sea level. Overall, Mauna Kea is roughly 1.4 kilometers taller than Everest.
In case you weren’t sure – yes Mount Everest!!!
