Nothing quite like a sunset, right?
One of the most amazing things about sunsets besides their incredible beauty is how people line up on the beach to watch them. It’s like we’re all mesmerized for about a half hour until the sun falls below the horizon. A long time ago I had an office with a stunning ocean view and it almost became daily ritual for the whole company to stop, gather around, and watch the sun go down together. I saw more green flashes in one year than an entire lifetime.

Joann, similar here: been saving up for a long time, so I can spend six months in Hawaii from July on. This time we all need to learn that we cannot control everything around us. I’m trying to focus on the here and now, as usual really, but in times like these that may be even more important. Also, that we all need to realize it’s not always all about us. I’m sure when time comes everything will work out fine. My sabbatical cannot be changed or postponed, so I’ll have to make the best out of the situation wherever that might be. Hawai’i is in my heart anyway €™€ï¸
Aloha Peter. Mahalo for keeping the spirit of Hawai’i coming to us through technology. Your posts, pictures and videos really cheer me up. I have been sad about the possibility of having to cancel my trip to Hawai’i in June. I have had to cancel now 4 years in a row!
My daughter says that I should just plan on moving over to Hawai’i permanently and forget about trying to plan visits!
Aloha Joann and thank you so much for the kind words! Hawaii will be here for you when you are ready and it’s safe. Hang in there and I think your daughter may be right!
